Overview

CampWhiz.com reimagines how families plan their kids’ summers. The platform brings everything into one intuitive place where programs are automatically organized, enriched, and ready to explore.

Vision

Parents should never spend endless hours piecing together camp schedules again.

Our vision is simple: parents pick the camps they love — CampWhiz handles the rest, from planning to registration and reminders.

Challenge

Summer-camp planning is fragmented across websites, PDFs, and outdated forms. Families spend nights comparing options in dozens of tabs; camp organizers struggle to reach them.

The opportunity: transform a messy, time-consuming process into a smooth, confident experience for both sides.

Objectives

  • Create a centralized, AI-driven directory that turns scattered data into clear, useful listings.
  • Design an experience that feels as familiar as browsing a trusted local guide.
  • Build a scalable foundation for future features like scheduling, registration, and payments.

Process

  • Strategy – Focused the MVP on solving the parent’s planning pain first, defining clear entry points and success paths before expanding to camp-owner tools. Every design decision traced back to one question: does this reduce friction for families trying to plan their summer?
  • Design – Established a friendly, trustworthy design language built on clarity, warmth, and ease. Interfaces highlight real programs, not noise, and make exploration feel light.
  • Automation – Introduced an AI pipeline that organizes and enriches camp information for consistency and quality.
  • Launch – Released the first regional version in Florida as a testing ground for scaling nationwide.

Early Traction

  • 1 000+ programs indexed across Florida
  • Subscription and claim flows live for early partners
  • Platform architecture prepared for multi-city expansion

Next Steps

  • Conduct parent and owner interviews to validate flows and refine messaging
  • Add personalized recommendations and automated scheduling features
  • Expand directory coverage and analytics for program owners

Reflection

CampWhiz has been a powerful reminder that AI can be an incredible partner in bringing complex ideas to life — organizing, structuring, and accelerating what used to take months.

The next chapter is about balance: grounding that speed in real human connection. Listening to parents and camp owners will shape how CampWhiz truly fits into their lives.
